Dispatches from the Co-Prosperity Sphere

You keep whinging because we don't call enough. For heaven's sake, stop! We can't call because we're busy. Just look at what we're doing. Does it look like we have the time to sleep? Eat? Breathe? Let alone communication with the outside world! We're building empires! We're winning hearts and minds! We're forging ahead, confronting our demons, marching victoriously toward a grand and glorious new era! And we're doing it all from the comfort of the backyard hammock.

Accomplishments Aplenty

Today we:


  1. Did huge masses of laundry. Washed so much laundry, a veritable Kilimanjaro of laundry was done.
  2. Made buckets, I say, buckets! of amazingly delicious red sauce and put it all in the freezer.
  3. Met the neighbors across the back fence.
  4. Squeezed a quart and a half of lemon juice.
  5. Shopped for groceries.
  6. Fixed bicycles.
  7. Washed dishes.
  8. Slacked.
  9. Mocked opera. Why can't these people die, already?!
  10. Played Fluxx with our kid.
